we're back

It was a long two months but we are back up and running and shooting more than ever. Tim purchased  a 760mm f8 lens for the camera which is amazing and one of the biggest lenses i've ever seen. we took the first photos with it yesterday and they are looking amazing we are finally getting full coverage on the negative .  The bottom image is me (haydn) it was 4s f8 it was the first time we have ever operated with just one person it turned out quite good.  The top is my friend simon 1.5s f11. Both the negatives were photographed not scanned so they are not the best quality.

The biggest problem we face is no one can sit still.

Sad news

Sadly we, Me(Haydn), Tim and James are not able to use the camera over the next two months as we are all away but once we are back we've got going to be shooting everything we can.  So watch this space. we are going to have some cool stuff coming up.

Thank you Haydn T

NEW FILM !!

We just got some new film so we've given it a bit of a test its not a full 20x24 because we cut a piece to test red sensitivity on.  Its orthographic film so we can use it in the dark room with the red safe lights, but we just wanted to check you don't want to ruin a whole box of 20x24. It looking pretty good a lot less contrast than the other film its also a lot faster which means we can shoot at smaller apertures and get sharper images. Awesome.

Royal photographic society

On friday the 13th of may me, tim and james took the camera out and photographed the delegates from the Royal Photographic society conference in plymouth, then with the help of cass we created 2 20x24 cyanotype contact prints which we presented to the society on the sunday they seemed very pleased with the prints and they took them back to the society to hopefully add to the collection. we hope to create some smaller prints for them as they have asked for some.

I will get some images of the cyanotpyes when I get chance

The Negative and the Print

Here is an image of one of our first negatives  this is one of the better ones we are still trying to work out the kinks  of the film but hopefully we should be using the  some better film stocks soon.
